Sir Alex Ferguson is a manager "you must never question", according to former skipper Steve Bruce, who also believes the Manchester United boss is the only manager able to compensate for the loss of Cristiano Ronaldo and Carlos Tevez.
Bruce says united are the team to beat again this season.
As Bruce takes his Sunderland side to Old Trafford, he recalled how Sir Alex went from strength to strength despite the loss of world class and influential players including from Eric Cantona, David Beckham, Roy Keane, Mark Hughes, Paul Ince and Andrei Kanchelskis.
Bruce told ESPN Soccernet in an exclusive interview that he believes Manchester United will win their fourth successive championship title if they can overcome the strength of Chelsea.
"If you ask me to tip the champions for this season, I believe you have to look at Manchester United - it's between United and Chelsea," Bruce said. "Chelsea have started off well, and they are strong.
"United have lost Ronaldo, they have lost Tevez, and that is something difficult to get over. But if there is any manager, at any club, who could recover from the loss of such great players and possibly even emerge bigger and stronger, then it is Sir Alex, at Manchester United.
"Sir Alex sold Beckham, Cantona retired, and in the mid-90s he lost important players when Kanchelskis, Hughes and Ince all went in one go. But he brought in the youngsters and went on to win the double in the very next season....you never question him. You must never question Sir Alex, he always comes up with the right answers.
"This time it won't be easy, as Ronaldo is arguably the best player in the world right now and they are going to miss his goals tremendously. Yet, you would think that but they have won eight games on the spin and they are back at the top of the league.
"In my opinion, if they can beat Chelsea they will win the title. Chelsea are the serious threat. But United have so much experience of winning titles, they have won it three times running now, and they know how to handle the games that count."
Bruce would love to win at Old Trafford with his Sunderland side on Saturday, though a draw would be seen a major triumph.
But it's not a great idea to put money on a stalemate, there have been fewer draws, by a very long way, in the Premier league than anywhere else in Europe - just four in 66 games.

Manchester United in March
Man Utd is on the right track... to five trophies
In Carling Cup, United defeated Tottenham Hotspur (last year Champions) in the Final on 1-Mar at Wembley. Sir Alex Ferguison sent the young lads to the starting line up - Foster, Gibson, Welback, Evans, Nani. The game was not resoluted in 12o min, ending up with penalty shoot-out. United took the shots so confidently (Giggs, Ronaldo, Tevez, Anderson were all netted). With Ben Foster's superb save to Jamie O'Hara's shot and David Bentley's miss target, United won its 2nd trophy of this season, after the FIFA Cup World Cup in Japan.
In FA Cup, United defeated Fulham by 4-0 easily in sixth round. Tevez found the net twice in 1st half - both goals were wonderful. (How could Man Utd give him up?) United have been drawn against Everton in the semi-finals at Wembley. It is in United's favour as they wouldn't have to face Chelsea or Arsenal until the final.
In UEFA Champions league, they will play the 2nd leg against Inter Milan at Old Trafford. With United's current form, winning at the home soil is inevitable. Drawing at San Siro two weeks ago was a bit unlucky. Inter Milan is not that strong in attacking, they can hardly find a goal at OT with Vidic's back. The only matter is if United's strikers can score.
In Premier league, United could not be in a better position. The 11 winning run since mid Dec put them 7 pts clear at the league ahead of Chelsea and Liverpool, with an additional game in hand. They have only 11 league games left, all difficult ones will be played at home. If United wins Liverpool in coming Sat, it is very likely that United would get its 11th Premier league champions.
Erva said after the FA cup game, "We're not thinking about winning five trophies," he told MUTV. "None of the players are talking about this – it's just the media."
"We have to concentrate on every game and when you pull on the Manchester United shirt you have to give your best. That's the spirit of Manchester United and with that spirit we can go far and reach the end of our mission".

Man Utd is in good form
曼聯的近蹟
聯賽盃打敗打比後已經入咗決賽,三月一号對熱刺,食梗佢吔啦,一定冇問題
足總賽輕易贏熱刺同打比,第六圈會對 Fulham 或 Swansea
聯賽小勝愛華頓 (1-0) 和韋斯咸 (1-0) 後,若今夜贏富咸就會領先利記五分
歐聯在24号作客國米,應是二月最難踢既一場
